I've been feeling a little under the weather this week. :( It all started Saturday afternoon with a scratchy throat...which I knew meant something wicked was on its way. I managed to pull through until after Jeanie's Bridal Shower and then crashed Sunday evening... I'm finally starting to feel a little better today, but still not 100%!

I had my lovely Thursday meeting tonight. Even with being sick, I managed to lose a pound! YIPPEE!!! I'm down to five more to go until Lifetime....I've been there many times, but I'm hoping to stick to it until the end! :)

Rainy Rummage Sale Day

Please stick with me tonight...I am all over the place.

I came to my parents, a.k.a. home, last night to spend some quality time with Mom and Dad. We had dinner together (it was delicious Mom!) and then I fell asleep watching television. Dad came in to the room at 12:30 and woke me up! AHH!! :) I got up this morning and went shopping with Mom. We picked up Grandma and started our day. The mission- find an outfit for the wedding for Grandma. Okay call me picky, but there just wasn't anything suitable for a Grandma to wear. Everything she saw and liked, I thought was too "Grandma-ish". Everything I saw and liked, she thought was too, well I can't say it on my blog. HA! Grandma kept saying "Kari I'm 83 years old!" I love her so much! We finally found something we all liked. It was a very nice flowy top and flowy black pants. I'll have pictures when the wedding day arrives!

I hate going shopping with no money. I know woe is me! Pay day will be here soon....too bad that money goes to bills, loans, and college debt. I need to start having more jewelry shows. Any takers?? HAHA :) :) I did get some groceries for Jeanie's shower on Sunday. I'm super excited for it. I'm heading over to her house tomorrow night for a sleepover. Man doesn't that make me sound so young! This will be my second one of the month! WOOHOO!!! I'm trying to find as many things to do as I can when I don't get to see Brian! :(

So tonight, I am updating my blog, playing solitaire on my IPOD, doing laundry, and probably going to bed somewhat early. Jon and Tiffany are coming over tomorrow afternoon so we can do some work around the farm. I can't believe the wedding is just six weeks away! I'm bummed that the weather is being so uncooperative this weekend.

I thought I better update the blog for my readers (AKA Greg)...

1. I have a great BF...he sent me flowers to school yesterday and everyone loved them...my students thought it was awesome that "my special friend" sent flowers. One boy was confused though. He thought Brian was getting married this summer and didn't know why he would send me flowers. I had to explain to him that Brian wasn't my brother... oh wow!

2. Volcano Eruptions. I have to admit that I don't stay as current with the news as I should. I do hear the news updates on the radio every morning, but would rather spend my afternoons/evenings watching Biggest Loser, American Idol, Soap Operas (yeah I know)...but I heard from a very closer college friend, Beth, via email and facebook that her husband was stranded in England. WHAT!!! He was traveling for work when the volcano erupted and his flight home was cancelled because of the ash problem. Beth and Anthony have two little guys at home and Beth is going to be going to Nashville with my other OPA girls (minus me because I am a loser who isn't going) to run in the Nashville Half Marathon.... I hope and pray he gets to come home soon.

3. Walking. I have been walking a lot this week. I hope it is enough to get these last few pounds off. I've even tried cutting back my diet pepsi intake...which has been hard...I have relapsed a few times.

4. Des Moines Weekend. Mom and I traveled to Des Moines over the weekend to see Jon and Tiffany. Bob went along too...he didn't pretty good, but drooled most of the way there. We had a great weekend with them. Tiffany had a Bridal Shower on Saturday. I can't wait for the wedding! YAY

Alrighty, I'm really distracted by Biggest Loser from yesterday! :)

I am really trying to update this more often. For someone who reads lots of blogs every day, you'd think I'd be better at updating my own!

I am loving this weather. I started my "regular" walking routine. Hopefully this will boost my last few pounds to reach my WW Lifetime goal. I start out by walking with a few teachers (for ten to twelve minutes) right after school and then I take off on my own for an additional hour +. I think I even got some sun! WOOHOO!! :) :)

Greg, since you are probably the only person who reads this (especially since I haven't really told anyone about it) this post is for you! :) I hope we can all hang out the next time I am down.
