Picture Post

This is a picture of me holding Megan Elise Kane. I introduced her parents a few years ago. I totally take credit for her...well shoot guess I don't take credit for that! HAHAHA!!!! I love her so much and can't wait to see her again! :) She has awesome parents!

Jeanie (matron of honor) is on the left in the blue dress. Her sister (an awesome bridesmaid stand in) was a rock star and tried on dresses so I could see them together! Jeanie is having a baby and will be seven months pregnant in June. Her dress is going to be a little different than the others!

This is the top part of the other dress. WAY CUTE! I think these are awesome dresses!

The two dresses together. I think I'll go ahead and keep the colors too! JUST KIDDING! Whoa the green dress really is super long.

She might kill me for posting this one! :) Shh...don't give her my blog website! :)

Can you believe this weather? LOVE IT! I just know I'll probably get sick because it'll probably get cold again! Is it to early to bring out the flip flops?
I got to see some former students play volleyball tonight! These girls are in 7th and 8th grade now! I can't believe my first group of students are headed to High School next year. It was fun watching these girls play (they had awesome coaches who taught them the fundamentals a few years back! HA!)
I'm heading to Peoria tomorrow night for our last PreCana Workshop. Only 128 days til the big day! :) We are staying with Pam and Jason and might even take in a Peoria Riverman game! :)
Well it looks like I'll probably be up late again tonight. I have a problem drinking diet pepsi late at night! We all know that though! :)

Catching Up

**This is probably going to be a very random post**

1. Happy Valentine's Day!

I wish I could spend some time with my Valentine today...guess there is always next year...except whoa we'll be married!!! :) That is exciting! I did get to spend most of the day with my students and am having dinner with a few friends tonight. No worries I'm not "alone"...

I remember the years when I dreaded Valentine's Day. I always hoped and prayed to find my "Valentine" and every year it seemed hopeless. Until one day, (not in February) I took a chance, put my faith and trust in God, and found my Mr. Forever!!! I am one lucky lady! Only 131 Days to go!!!

2. I have a follower!

My friend Beth is a follower of my blog! YES!!! I think I've decided to become a famous blogger once I'm married. Do you think Brian would mind me blogging about our marriage??? Okay okay I'll try to find a teaching job and blog on the side...hmmm.... Back to Beth! She called me today (sorry I need to call you back) and told me that her oldest decided to print a picture...it happened to be one I posted about Bob the Beagle!!! I LOVE THAT! Like another friend said, "It's time for a dog Beth!" :)

3. House Update

Brian finished painting the spare bedrooms. I saw pictures and they look great! I don't think I get to go back down until mid-March! YUCK! He brought his Dad's truck this weekend (Thanks Glenn!!!) and my Dad came down yesterday and helped him move a couch and table! My apartment is beginning to look bare!

4. Wedding Update

Bridesmaids Dresses have been picked! WOOT WOOT!!!

Happy Superbowl!!

That is what the guy at Ruby Tuesday told us today. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say "Happy Superbowl" before. I hope he doesn't mind that I drove home through most of the game and now that it is the 4th Quarter, I'm on FB and my blog! Sorry Beth! (It is on, just not paying much attention to it!)

I had a great weekend in St. Peters/Warrenton. It was a much needed outing after being stuck inside for three days straight! Brian and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings on Friday for some yummy wings. We ended up going to Lowes (how romantic) afterwards to look at paint. We didn't decide on anything. I made him rent Charly St. Cloud (he secretly LOVED it...or maybe not). I think I owe him two movies now.

We headed to Warrenton on Saturday to celebrate Christmas with the Higgins. I know you are all thinking What? Christmas in February? (except most of you are Higgins so you aren't thinking that.) This was the first weekend we were all free to get together. Poor Pam, Jason, Jared, and Jacob. They weren't able to make it because of illness and the weather! :( We missed them for sure!

Brian and I went to church this morning with his parents. We went to St. Cletus (love this church) and then went to Ruby Tuesday for a late lunch. Brian and I ended up at Home Depot (yeah what is up with this home improvement stores??? I think a few trips to the mall is in our future) and bought a couple paint samples. We went with a lighter shade of green for one room, and a light khaki color (not white or yellow...it's nice, I think) for the other room. Brian painted a little of each color for me and we shall see. I liked them, I think! Brian will go back and buy the rest of the paint and finish the rooms this week. He is great at all this home improvement stuff! My grandma even said so! :) I'll hopefully get back down to the house at the end of February (but I am not sure if that will work out! AHH!)

Okay I think I will try to watch some of the Superbowl! :)

I'll upload pictures later this week!

A Change of Heart

Okay so I changed my mind. I do not want to go to work the rest of the week. Forget what I said yesterday. What is one more day off? I mean come on, the kids are not going to be happy to be back. Why make us suffer through that? We should just have ONE more day off and start fresh on Monday! :)

I've done a whole lot of nothing. I am tempted to go to Wal-Mart tonight, but I don't think I really want to! HA!

Snowy Days

Well... Here we are... in the BLIZZARD OF THE CENTURY...sorry wanted to be a bit dramatic tonight...and I am sorry to admit but I am ready to go back to school. I have been trapped in my apartment for way to long! I haven't had any "in person" adult conversation. Although I must also admit, that I am happy not to have to get dressed yet again tomorrow! HA!

Snow Days are fun. I've watched lots of television, caught up on FB (maybe a little to much), and ate a lot of food! I've even worked quite a bit of wedding things. I'm really trying to find fun ideas for our BIG DAY! www.theknot.com has the bubbles I like on sale. I forgot to look there today, but they were super cheap last night. Mental reminder to go there tomorrow!!!!

My parking lot has not been plowed yet. This surprises me because my parking lot is somewhat attached to the fire and police departments. Of course they have clear lots....wonder why they decided to skip over mine? HOW RUDE!!! I think I might have to get out tomorrow. Otherwise I might go insane. We wouldn't want that right???

How are you spending your snowy days???

I really love blizzards!!!

Dairy Queen style this is! With all this talk about the "Blizzard of the Century" I can't help but think about a delicious Snickers Blizzard from DQ. Do you think it would be insane for me to drive to Bushnell (about ten miles from Macomb) to have one? Macomb's is closed for the season! HAHA!!! Sorry I couldn't resist! I've only been indoors for about 24 hours and I already have cabin fever. I need someone here to communicate with!

I've been working hard on wedding plans! You'll be happy to know that I have:
1. Confirmed with our DJ.
2. Called the local florist and set up an appointment for March 5th
3. Looked at ideas for flowers, centerpieces, favors, and now getting started on the wedding music.
4. Filled out most of my passport information.

Whoa! I am so proud of myself! Now if I could only get off the couch and take a shower... Sorry that was probably something you didn't need to know. I am so proud of myself!

I hear that Brian has been super busy too! He primed both spare rooms yesterday and today! Way to go Brian! I am so proud of you!!! (Hope he enjoys this!)

Alrighty, off to dream about DQ Blizzards!
